Jed and his dog Duke are both downhearted without a woman in their lives, that is, until they meet Mlle. Denise and her poodle. Duke takes a fancy to the poodle and Jed takes a fancy to Denise. Meanwhile, Mrs. Drysdale has arranged a "marriage" between her dog, Claude, and Mlle. Denise's poodle.
